This brave man was my Great Grandfather.
Does anyone have any information on
Bombardier Thomas Lewis. Any help appreciated. He came from the Brecon area
of Wales...........parents Isaac and Sara
Ann Lewis. Where was he born? HELP!!!

Only have a little to hand at this late hour, but will make further enquiries for you.
Bombardier 458 Thomas Lewis, attested for the Army 25th June, 1876 aged 19 years.

Served in 'N' Battery, 5th Brigade, Royal Regiment of Artillery. Present in the hospital at Rorke's Drift having sustained a leg injury following a wagon overturning on him.
