Does anyone have any good info about Mister Peter Shepherd of the ADH and Colonel Pulleine. Where were they born? educated? married? etc.

Try the book 'The South African Campaign' (Updated version) which I think is available from this site's shop.

It gives details of several officers from the AZW and has portrait photographs, if I remember correctly.
