Again one of those oft asked questions to which i have not ( as yet ) had a reply . This concerns the Buffs Sgt at the drift, one Sgt FREDERICK AUGUSTUS MILLNE .

When he got married in 1889 in Edmonton NORTH London it was to Catherine Mary L Millne. Was this a niece , cousin or just someone with the same surname ? . At the time of the marriage they were living at the same address and the father of Catherine Millne was one David Millne , an insurance clerk in 1881.
Please note the correct spelling of his surname as shown in his service papers , it is spelt MILLNE and not as often shown MILNE . Thank you , Graham .
