Having such classics as Zulu and Zulu Dawn
wouldn't it be good to see a film released about Ulundi.

WHY?

The battle sequence would be mighty spectacular! Especially with all the special effects they've got now , the only problem i can see is is that nothing really happened except the british firing and sending lancers out to kill the zulu

I would like to see a new film but instead of Ulundi how about the battle of Hlobane or Nyezane?

How about the Prince Imperial? His story has all the right elements.

Or Intombi River. There's the battle, the fighting retreat and the court martial.

Or even a film about Rorkes Drift with soldiers from England and Ireland, from the Warwickshire Regiment I believe, and a mention of Dalton and a few others who never got a mention in ZULU.
Alec.

Alec,
in the remake of Zulu, could you also include the Rev. 'ammunition' Smith?
Dalton did at least get a 'pot that chap somebody' mention in Zulu. 'There, there! Go and have a word with your own officer'.
Hughes got a mention without actually being there.

In answer to Gary Laliberty, well it would be new ground as far as a film theme. It would be good to see a Zulu film with modern day filming techniques (taking nothing away from the previous two classics). However, most importantly it would give us all something extra to look forward to.

I think it would be nice to have a new film with the true facts with more modern techniques they have in film making these day's it could be quite something.

Well it would have to have an american star and a love story people will regret it

perhaps I'm getting old (perhaps?)
I already have a DVD version of Zulu.

I have a dream. In this dream, 'Zulu' would be remade and bearing some resemblance to the truth. But then I'm just a dreamer, unless there were enough people who thought that this dream could become a reality.

Arthur, no American stars and no love story. Perhaps we ought to forget it then?

Alan is your dvd a region 2 or anthor region
Zulu works well as it is,a remake if made as a history lesson would not be a box office hit a little artistic license is needed in movies

Arthur,
apparently, I have the region 2 version of Zulu DVD, whatever that means. (That's the benefit of of having a genius for a son or a son for a genius).
