Date | Original Topic | 8th November 2002 | How High Was The Hospital? By Glenn Wade Hi chaps! I wonder if anyone could please tell me the hight of the hospital/Witt's house? Thanks for any replies!
Cheers!
Glenn | Date | Replies | 11th November 2002 | Mike McCabe No, but this can be reasonably estimated from two sources:
- Chard's general pictorial sketch of the RD buildings in his February 1880 report. A very approximate indication could then be 'scaled' off contemporary photographs of the surviving store
- Probably more usefully, by comparison with the reconstructed Witt house of the 1880s (now the Museum) which has many similarities with the original building | 12th November 2002 | steven it doesnt matter hight of hospital when they have a brave night named reynolds doctoring and defenfng it. im related to reynolds. |
