Was the book actually published? In the piece I found it mentioned the author had died before the work came to fruition.

Yes - it is a superb book detailing the Masonic winners of the Victoria Cross and George Cross. I can source contact details over the weekend if you are interested. It goes on to list others from the Zulu Wars as well (Buller & Lord Beresford) to name a couple.
