I've just been reliably informed that the new Zulu War Tv Documentary - Reluctant Enemy;Britains War against the Zulu - is to be shown on 21/22 January on the UK History channel. So get your video recorders ready. It's a three parter apparantly, so it might be quite in-depth.

Would any UK viewer be kind enough to consider copying the tape for an American viewer? (I'd pay for the tape, postage, etc.)

Thanks for the tip off Mark. Within seconds of reading your posting I e-mailed my folks in the U.K. and told them they were off the Christmas card list if they did not record it for me. I guess that the date chosen to screen it is not a coincidence.
I hope you dont mind if I post your news on the Martini and Soldiers of the Queen forums. Thanks again.
Oh Diana. I hope you can view PAL tapes.

I have a bit more info on the above documentary. Although this isn't definate it now seems it will be shown over three days, from 21st -23rd January, at 10.00, 16.00 and 22.00 hours each day. This is British time of course. Whether they plan on showing all three parts each day, or part 1 on the first day, part 2 on the second and part 3 on the third, I don't know.
But remember guys and gals, these times are only approx so keep checking your tv listings.

Greetings! I am a newcomer to the study of the Anglo-Zulu war and very happy to have found this remarkable site! It would be wonderful indeed if any of you would consider making a tape (tapes?) of the programme for those of us on this side of the pond, as Diana pleads - in case it's never shown here...

All costs reimbursed, of course!

I have been able to put three preview pictures from the documentary on the Keynsham Light Horse website - linked from this site. (left)
