Date | Original Topic | 29th January 2003 | London Gazettes - through the web By Martin Everett I draw your attention to the following site which I understand has been available for about 4 weeks - I have not yet been able determine how useful it might be, but no doubt readers will be able to assess its value as a research tool for themselves.

Good hunting | Date | Replies | 29th January 2003 | Peter Critchley Thanks Martin.. Good tip!
Peter | 29th January 2003 | John Young Sadly a search of the archived material shows that it only starts from 1st January, 1900. This makes it an excellent tool for discovering details of subsequent honours & awards gazetted to Anglo-Zulu War veterans post that date.
Hopefully as time progresses the archive might take the search further back, and although us delve into the mists of time. | 29th January 2003 | John Young Obviously got the keyboard gremlin here - for 'although', please substitute allow.
| 29th January 2003 | Steve Tiplady I have used this site recently to try and track down a specific issue of the London Gazette Supplement which contains a reference to my grandfather who was awarded the DSM in World War 2. I have to say I didn't have much success, however I contacted them by telephone using the contact details on the website and found them very helpful .
