Was recently doing some research on
George Henry Kenneth McDonald O,callaghan
civil surgeon. Army medical dept.
Managed to find his grave, but do not know a lot about him.Maybe not at rorkesdrift.
Zulu campaign somewhere?.

O' Callaghan is recorded as serving with Newdigate's Division and subsequently with Wood's Field Hospital. He joined the Army Medical Department as a Surgeon on the 6th March 1880.

Born Cork, Ireland 3rd July 1852. served in Burma 1885- 1886. Retired from the army with gratuity 16th April 1890. Completed additional service whilst on the "Retired List" in Egypt c. 1889

Many thanks to Lee Stevenson for the info on O,Callaghan.He died in Birkenhead in 1911,
the local registrar has him dying at 60 years,
buried 14 December 1911Flaybrick cemetery,
but you know all this I think thanks again.
