I believe that last year's archaeological survey of the Isandlwana battlefield shed new light on the battle. I should be grateful if anyone could give me some details.

Ian Knight was the Historian on the dig - his web site - linked from this one - is ww.kwazulu.co.uk and it has a section on the archaelogy.

The finds were first publicly aired at the National Army Museum earlier this year and show that the ammunition supplies were not as poor as has been thought in the past and ammunition boxes got out to the firing lines - which goes to make this Zulu victory even more impressive.

And I have just had it confirmed that the TV program that follows the progress of the dig - Secrets of the Dead - is to be shown on British TV - Channel 4, 9pm, November 12th - but I don't know if it is to be shown in SA.

I am an AngloZulu War enthusiast. I am keen to know if/when Secrets of the Dead will be screened in Australia
