30th May 2003	Chard's wounds By Paul Neville Was Chard injured in any capacity during the RD battle. In the film he is hit with a shield and nearly killed. Did he sustain any wounds during the battle or was he unscathed?

2nd June 2003	John Young Paul, John Chard VC was not wounded in the action at Rorke's Drift - the scene in the film 'Zulu' is just a piece of invention. John Y.
3rd June 2003	Chris John Although he was not wounded, he was saved by Private Jenkins who pulled his head down when a bullet flied straight over where Chard's head was, seconds before. If it was not for Private Jenkins, Chard would have been easily killed. Private Jenkins died later on in the battle.
