I visited Brecon a couple of weeks ago, I thought I would drop a line down to thank Martin and his staff for their freindly welcome and information.
If you find yourself in the area make the time to go, some of the artefacts were stunning.
But Martin, why do you not have a good Enfield service model Martini Mark 1 or 11 on display?.

Hi Neil,

Martin's gone to the Crimea, but I'm sure when he gets back he'll thank you for your kind words! :)

Dear Neil,
Thank you for your kind comments about the Museum - they were much appreciated.

As you are probably aware artefacts relating the the AZW and the 24th Regt in particular fetch high prices at auction. So we do rely very much on the generosity of our friends to improve our collection. I am told that we have one of the finest collections of small arms in the country and of course the museum has to tell the story of 300 years of regimental history not just the AZW. So if there someone who has a Mark 1 or 2 MH Rifle we would be pleased to give it a good home where it can be enjoyed by the thousands of visitors who come to Brecon.
