Without the benefit of refering to the books or the the soldiers own reports at this moment, I am not aware of anyone reporting an initial order to open fire at Rorke's Drift as is shown in the film Zulu?
Any opinions/information on whether the soldiers would have waited to be told to open fire or just gone ahead and fired at the charge?
