Date | Original Topic | 19th July 2004 | Rededication of Graves , Tongue & Woods By Neil Aspinshaw hopefully everyone who attended yesterdays re-dedication ceremony for Robert Tongue and Caleb Wood, will join me in Thanking David Fox for organising what was a truly memorable day.
Over 500 guests and residents of Ruddington In Nottinghamshire turned out to pay homage to thier gone but not forgotten sons.
The immaculate turn out of the Band of the RRW was only eclipsed by their choir of Men of Harlech at the graveside of Wood.
The two minutes silence was impeccably respected, only the song of the birds cut the silence.
What an honour to hold Woods original service medal.
Hopefully all those who were unable to attend will be able to see the pictures on www.thisisnottingham.com (local paper) later today.
For those who live within the area of BBC east midlands television check out the local news slot after 6pm this evening.
