Last August in Brecon, I had the good fortune to see a screening of Zulu Dawn. The audience were predominantly Zulu no-one was complaining there!

Major Paul Naish of African Byways is putting together a Zulu War Tour for the 140th anniversary. The tour is tentively scheduled for 23rd March - 3rd April 2019.

As well as the usual battlefields ...

I knew I had the answer to it, it appears in the 1874 Dress Regulations. Pages 44-5, Royal Engineers.

The Frock was the prescribed dress for Regimental Field Officers.
