Our experience at RDL mirrored that of Andrew. Rorke's Drift Lodge is what made our trip from the U.S. possible. I was able to see parts of the extended Rorke's drift - Isandlwanda campaign area I had not imagined, and my wife could do some birdwatching while I climbed Isandlwana.

There are plenty of good, affordable accommodation in an around Dundee, and Tourism Dundee's office in Victoria street can put you in touch with a tour guide which will not cost you an arm and a leg. It depends on what level of luxury you want, (or how much money you want to pay), or what story you would like to hear. Sawubona has hit the nail squarely on its bald head.
