Please do you know the Cemetery in Castletown, Co Cork where John Connolly is buried and if he has a headstone.

Thanks

There is a website with all the 300 Gravestones in the Castletown churchyard pictured on it. I couldn't find one for John Connolly. It also features nearby Kinneigh gravestones and they are all indexed by surname. No connolly. Either RC or COI.

I found a Connolly family on the 1851 census for Castletown but no 6 year old John Connolly. In the texts I have he is listed as being as from Trevethin (Monmouthshire) which in the 19th Century had a huge influx of Irish immigrants for the iron and coal industries.

I am not very well versed in the defenders of Rorke's Drift though and others are far better qualified than I (Martin et al). Perhaps it is an unmarked grave?
