I'm in the process of ordering this book, having 2 others from the series already.

This covers several campaigns, including the Zulu War (maybe 1 or 2 battles from it).

I like these books, so if anyone wants a review about this new book, I'll write it here, later.

Coll

PS. Front cover shows a painting of the defence at Rorke's Drift.

Amber Books gives quite a good summary of the contents.

You're welcome.

There is much to be learned from the fighting techniques of other eras, including why some commanders in (earlier/later) battles, did what they did. Wink

Book arrived this morning [well done Amazon!]

Very well produced. Authors appear to be US academics and an ex-British Army type who is now freelance. Great pictures and drawings. Good maps.

Chapters on the following:

1. Role of Infantry
2. Mounted Warfare
3. C2
4. Siege Warfare
5. Naval Warfare

Select bibliography (no prizes that most of the named books are very well known to the members of the forum)
Index

Off to bed now to read!

It's arrived. Very Happy

Had a quick look through. I'm going to enjoy it methinks.

Might not be the most technical book covering specifics, but certainly enough info/pictures, to encourage further research into battles covered.

Hope you enjoy it too.
