Might anybody know possible sources of reference for plans of Rorke's Drift. Pictures of the buildings and scale plans?

This suggests that you have not read anything? Most modern books contain Chard's plan (or variations of it) - Adrian Greaves, Mike Snook, Ian Knight to name but a few.

Tim, as you've asked for 'plans' I'm assuming you're looking for a more detailed presentation than found in most books. I'd suggest " British Fortifications in Zululand 1879" by Ian Knight (available from Martin's RRW shop).
