Hi
I'm Sgt Windridge's GGGGrand-daughter.

I would love to hear from any descendants of Joe's.

My Great Grandmother was Elsie Windridge, from Birmingham. When she met my Great Grandfather, William Thompson she moved to South Wales where they set up home.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Regards

Hi Natalie

I happen to know there are several families with the surname Windridge in the area around Atherstone, Warks. This is a town with which Sgt Windridge had known connections.
About three years ago I was telling my uncle about Sgt Windridge. He told me that he had worked with a Windridge at a colliery near Atherstone. He had, in fact, only bumped into him the previous day. My uncle promised to ask him about Sgt Windridge the next time he saw him. Needless to say he hasn't seen since!

Regards
Paul
