There must be huge demand for this book and I can understand why.

If I was Sheldon I'd bring out a second edition.

Sheldon,
Do you want to use some pics I recently took of the "Zulu" film Set. (I just want 10% of the royalties)

I can't recall what the print run was on the first edition. Even modern reference books don't tend to sell second-hand for much more than double the initial cover price so 176 is staggering.

Wow!

One wonders if a paperback is due out - that'll bring the prices down!

Harry Faversham - the hero! with an interest in the AZW and film 'Zulu' no less.

'Four Feathers' - AEW Mason novel - Korda 1939 film with Welsh Guards as extras - those were the days!

Holy Spumoni, Batman! At the very least I'm going to find my copy in my tottering stack of "books-to-read-in-bed" and put it in a safety deposit box where it apparently belongs.

Never mind about putting it in a safety deposit box, I'm going to sell mine .... (only joking, though!)!

Seems like you might want to hold onto it for a bit longer and then swap it for that Aston Martin Zagato you've always wanted. I'm saving my copy until I can trade it for that estate in the country on which I'd like to retire. Or perhaps I'll just wait a bit longer still, sell it and buy Namibia.

It might be enlightening to check out this link before moaning about 176 pounds: http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_i_0_9?url=search-alias%3Dstripbooks&field-keywords=zulu+with+some+guts+behind+it&sprefix=zulu+with

The least expensive of four copies available on the USA site of Amazon is $885 and "Stanford Specialty Books" is offering an "acceptable" used copy for $1995 or so. I'm no expert, but it sounds as though that single copy on the UK Amazon is a steal at that price!

Sheldon,

if I send my copy to you, will you sign it for me, please? That should make it worth a few bob more!

Yes, that's true - especially with regard to your other post about the other copies! As Fagin once sang "I think I'd better think it out again!"
