Well it sure helped me out. I'm not enamored of Westerns in general so seeing OUATITW and getting some context opened up my eyes. Now I'm on to Ford's films looking at them with a new 'eyes'. Nothing like a 'Zulu' man to help with educatin' some of the folks on the prairies.... Wink .

Ford's films I actually prefer to Leone's - along with those of Hawks and Peckinpah (among others). My favourite is MY DARLING CLEMENTINE.
