Using An Emoticon App. On The Forum ?

A young member of my family is explaining how to use my iPad, and has added an emoticon app, which contains new images.

It'd please them very much if I used them for the forum, though in a limited way, without detracting from discussions.

Of course, I'm seeking your permission first.

Is it a 👍?

Or a 👎?

Coll

P.S. I'd owe you a 🍺!

Coll,
the emoticons on the forum are a self contained application (don't who decided to call them apps).

Not sure what you have. Not swinging monkeys or something is it?

As to:-

I don't understand what 👎 is unless it's 1000.

Swinging monkeys ? - no, at least, not been added yet.😉

👍 means yes. (thumbs up)

👎 means no (thumbs down)

So, is it 🆗?

I'm glad I'm not the only one who relies on the younger generation to explain all these electronics Wink

Thanks.

These new emoticons appear to be much smaller than the ones on the forum.

I'll have to see if there are other apps that have them a similar size as those on here, as these are almost too small to see ! 👀

Coll,
I'm not sure I know what you're talking about.

Are these not enough?

Very Happy Smile Sad Surprised Shocked Confused Cool Laughing Mad Razz Embarassed Crying or Very sad Evil or Very Mad Twisted Evil Rolling Eyes Wink Exclamation Question Idea Arrow

I don't use them anyway and get a feeling they might be used when it's feared that something might be misconstrued without one Question.

It was really just to show my young helper that the app was being used, which is one of many (games, etc.), they've chosen for me.

Yes, they do help posts when something could be read the wrong way, that's the benefit of having them, as well as sometimes lightening the situation a tad.

Can't find any different emoticon apps of similar size and usable ability as on the forum.

I was a member of a gardening forum which had a huge amount of them available, many animated, though I don't know how they got them.

However, they might be considered too 'jokey' for the forum, so I'll give it a miss.
