Hi, I've got it into my head that Francis Colenso is buried on the Isle of White. (I think from the much missed KLH site). I know she died in 1887 of tuberculosis, but my books don't say where she is buried.
Can anyone advise please?

Regards

Hi Paul

Sorry mate, I do not know what the inscription says.

Hi Steve

Good news to hear that someone might be able to help. Look forward to seeing the photographs and knowing what the inscription says.

Hi,
new photograph of grave was no better than KLH original above.
Words as follows:
"In memory of Frances Ellen Colenso
Born 30 May 1850
Died 29 April 1887
Second daughter of the right Rev John Colenso Lord Bishop of Natal
Following her fathers example she sacrificed her life on behalf of the helpless and oppressed."

Strong lady.

Cheers

Steve
