Martin,

Good job I recorded all four otherwise I would have missed the 24th at Isandlwana armed with Lee-Enfield Mk. IV*'s!

It made me wish the BBC would show The British Empire series again.

Regards,

John

John - they lost the chance to use footage out there that would have been a lot better and sadly went for the "usual suspects" on location - it's a pity that there is so much wrong imagery around when there could get it right - but thats film/ tv documentary makers for you - atb Tim.

John,

Why wouldn't Lee Enfields have been used at Isandlwana?
I have video evidence that bolt action rifles were also used at RD.

Mel,

You've got too much time on your hands!

I thought they only used the 50-round drum magazine at Isandlwana anyway!

Happy New Year!

That looks to be a 1928A1 Thompson! Doesn't everyone know that the Zulu only had access to 1921's. Obviously some sort of "typo".

And yet it appears to be nave the 30-round stick magazine, apparently a user-made-and-fitted modification - "who are these remarkable people" indeed!
