I had a bit of an incident related to fire and water in my domicile and in the process of assessing for insurance purposes the value of some of the items destroyed, I learned that copies of Sheldon's wonderful book can be had now for a mere $275!

I guess I should have sold my copies when the market was hot! Now I've got to sell the Bentley I bought on speculation of the books ever spiraling value. Oh well...

hey keep those books! Those ereaders are OK for the digital set but there's nothing so interesting as taking down a dusty tome from yer stack, plopping yourself in a chair with a pint as you scan type bringin' you back to those days on the veldt..or donga!... Wink

I have a pristine copy of the book, no marks, could pass as brand new - is it worth attempting to sell it do you think? If so then for what sort of price - do you think I might actually be successful in selling it for ~1000? Seems a little too good to be true if I'm honest.

Sorry, AG, but the bottom seems to have fallen out of the market. Several copies are available for sale on Amazon for considerably less than that 1000, although still quite a bit more than you paid for yours I'll wager. Like anything though--- be it a house, a car, or a book-- there can be a pretty wide gulf between the "asking price" and a "selling price".

Most expensive one I see now on Amazon is $1983.94 and that's used.
For all that maybe those in the $1000+ stratosphere could throw in couple of Russell's rockets or something.... Wink

If the price keeps going up, in several years it might be cheaper to remake Zulu instead. Rolling Eyes
