The Daily Telegraph today has an article about Capt Percival Armitage who returned to Isandlwana 5 months after to bury the dead - it took 4 days. He was 2nd Bt, 24th Regiment. He wrote a 36-page letter home, dated Aug 2 1879, which is to be auctioned at Wallis and Wallis of Lewes, East Sussex on Wednesday. Pre-sale estimate is 500.
