Was anybody else aware that there is a Henry Hook Close in Churcham? It's part of a new development and close to the churchyard in which he is buried. So if anyone is visiting the churchyard (as I did a few years ago) it might be worth a detour.

That's great, thanks for that.
I was at the 100th anniversary of Hook's passing.
There was a photographer who tried to discretely get a good vantage point from his step-ladder from within the dairy farm enclosure next door.
To his credit, he carried on taking pictures as both he and the ladder fell sideways del-boyesque and out of sight behind the stone wall!
Wondering why the VC annotation is at the very end of the nameplate ?
I would dearly love to own one of the houses in John Fielding Gardens, Llantarnam.
