This is a request for help.
When looking on-line at book dealers inventories they seem to describe condition of a book in terms of : near fine ; fine; good; very good, etc.

Is this a standardised book sellers jargon or does it vary from shop to shop ?

What is the difference between fine and good ??

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I am trying to decide which copy from a choice of 5 to buy. The prices vary considerably.

Thanks
regards
