For those not on the mailing list I just received an e-mail from from Clarke's Africana & Rare Books announcing an auction of old books and memorabilia that may contain items of interest for many here including a rather intriguing title - "The Last Zulu Warrior" by D. Clammer,
"On Missions to the Zulus in Natal & Zululand" by the Rev. Colenso,
"A West Pointer With The Boers" by Col. J.F.Y. Blake,
"South Africa v. England and Australia Test Cricket 1888-1928" by W. H. Coleman (for Peter E.!),
"A Zulu-Kafir Dictionary" by the Rev. J.L. Dohne (not sure but I suppose an additional English hypenate may be implied!),
"Battlefields of South Africa" by G. Van Lingen (A-ZW and 1st A-BW),
"Reports, Correspondence ,Returns ,Etc., of the Frontier Armed and Mounted Police 1872"

There's much more, many books in Afrikaans (which subjects of course elude me!) and old souvenirs of the Boer Wars.

The auction has 5 more days to run.

As an older topic here concerned the visit of the CSS Alabama to SA there is also an announcement of the release of a revised and expanded edition of "Here Comes The Alabama - Daar kom die Alabama" by Edna and Frank Bradlow.

For what it's worth. (Clarke's is of course a totally reliable merchant with amazingly timely delivery.) [And the stamps are really cool!]
