Not the real one... but Joe Powell, the legendary stuntman and sometime actor who played Windridge in "Zulu", has just published his autobiography, THE LIFE & TIMES OF A FALL GUY (Book Guild, available at Amazon from under 12). He appeared in many other classic films of the 50s, 60s and 70s, as well as being a real-life war veteran and former Commando, so you might find it an interesting read.

Hi Sheldon,
Thanks for the tip.
A couple of years ago,we in the 1879 Group were lucky enough to meet
Joe and James Booth at Woolwich.
What a nice couple of blokes!
I shall look forward to reading Joe's memoirs.
Especially falling off that bridge in The Man Who Would Be King.
That must have been a change of underwear afterwards Laughing
Good luck to him.He deserves it.
