I just thought I'd step forward and wish everyone the best for the festive season.

You too Mike, as I'm - 'going to be quiet now, like a good gentleman, because I've upset the lads". Wink

I'm hoping 2010 is going to be a good year for me, as well as you all.

I'll certainly be downing a few drams of my favourite whisky to see it in. Very Happy

Good Health To All !

In spite of what happened back in 1776, we on this side of the Big Pond hold no ill feelings towards you in the Near-near East and wish the same to all of you and yours. Or, as we like to say, "Right back at you !" Oh, and mega-dittos to the sentiment giving thanks to Alan and Peter.

Hey do you think you have a monopoly on the white stuff?? Last week, I shoveled 2 ft of snow from my driveway. I muuttered under my breath , "you should have bought that snowblower you were going to get!".The ice dams on the eaves of my house gave me trickles of water doing the drip, drip drip into my den! Now it's so cold my car won't start in the morning..it groans but finally turns over.
I think we're starting another ice age around here. It's f-r-i-g-i-d here too. Not sure how my mates in the parts near me are handling it!!! Anyway, I wouldn't mind sitting in an nice toasty pub by the fire and having a pint of Welsh ale (room temp of course), blabbing a bit and all the while taking in the scenery outside, room temp of course.... Wink

Up my way, a trip to Long Island in January is thought a holiday in the tropics and we pack Bermuda shorts and shuffleboard scorecards! Sorry, Rich, but I couldn't resist. Yesterday, I rode my snowblower to work. Is it your car you're talking about that "groans but finally turns over"?
