I recollect seeing at some time in the past a sketch of Raw on his horse discovering the Zulu.

IF memory serves me correct this would have been something similar to those of the LIN.

I have looked through the few books I have here -- including PQ & RL "London Illustrated News" as well as Laband & Thompson "Atlas of the Zulu War"

I have not been able to find the sketch that I have in my minds eye

Maybe I saw it in a frame on a museum wall ? I just cannot remember where I saw it & why I cannot find it again.

Can someone please help.

Chris,

The only one I can ever remember seeing is a modern sketch in one of Ian Knight's books. It is in colour.

Can you remember which book ?

I do have "Brave Mens Blood"

The image I have in mind is a sketch black and white -- could be wrong memory plays strange tricks. Smile
