Hi friends

I am a Spanish collector of playmobil, and a fan of the zulu war. And the best way of combining both interests was to do a diorama of a battle with playmobil.

The problem is that Playmobil has not designed these figures, for what is them had do one to one, treating of that they bring the most possible thing near to the reality.

Already I have finished the diorama. Here I do not end with the Project, because this summer I want to recreate the battle for sequences, not in a static diorama.

To do the scene have taken this image as a modal of Since they know, of Ian Knight, British Fortifications in Zululand 1879, Osprey

Here we see several key prominent figures, since they are:
- With a metallic cup in the hand, there is the medical official James Henry Reynolds (accompanied of the dog Pip), together with Dalton. It(he,she) is without the salacot because to the beginning of the battle it threw it against the zulus on the back part of the wagons.

In the center
- The lieutenant Bromhead, of the Second Battalion of 24th Regiment.
- The rev George Smith

And close to the store a zone placed to attend to the injured men. Here we see two attended ones for Pearce (of the Medical Department of the Army), and the End nurse Miller (of the Hospitals of the Army) (with the red cross in the right(straight) shoulder).

In the frontal barricade there was a zone of shrubs and bushes from which the zulus were launched, and the soldiers of 24 Regiment were facing to the big waves. That of the blue cap is the End Attwood, of the Services of the Army.

The zulus that they attack are of the Regiment INdluyegwe.

Going out of the window of the hospital in flames, the injured men escape. The first one of the row for the left side is Hook, which was taking in his(her, your) backs an injured man.

From left side to right, two members of the Natal Mounted Police: the injured man is Green, which was helped by one of the heroes of the battle: Lugg. Behind his(yours), the end Mayer (of the Natal Native Contingent); and two gunners: the soldier Lewis, who is helped by another gunner, Cantwell.

One of that died on having gone out of the Hospital was Hunter, of the Natal Mounted Police, that was crossed by a zulu that was thrown(launched) on him(it) (and that would die under the shots of the soldiers of the barricade of boxes(cash desks))

ZONE OF THE MEALIE BAG

Here we see Byrne stretched in the soil (civilian who was contracted by the Department of Transport). It is with a water cup because it(he,she) received a bullet in the head when it was giving something to drink him to the end Scammel (of the Natal Native Contingent l, and that had been hurt of bullet).
To the right there is the Lieutenant Chard, and together with him(it) there is drummer Keefe. Opposite to them, of blue, there is the commissioner Dunne (of the Department of Transport)

In the right wing, the barricade that exists opposite to the Hospital starts being overcome by the zulus
To the right, dead man on the barricade, there is the soldier Thomas Cole, who was one of the defenders of the hospital and it went out fleeing for this door, being reached by a shot.
And the gunner Beckett, who died crossed in the porch of the hospital

And close to the right door of the hospital there is one of the heroes of the battle: the soldier Joseph Williams, that inside the Hospital, and that after killing 14 zulus, was dragged by these out of the building and carved up
