Alan

Am I allowed to ask Mr Everett about a rumour I've picked up on regarding a forthcoming Zulu War book - Limited Edition and if so anymore details?

Thanks

Andy

Dear Andy,

It is not a limited edition - if you order before 30 September you can have your name printed in the book as a subscriber. The only limiting factor is that it will not be sold generally through bookshops and Amazon - only obtainable from Fugivites' Drift, Clarke's bookshop in Cape Town and the Museum in Brecon.

Dear Martin,

Can the book be ordered via the Museum now? I could not find any reference to it on the shop site!
I would be very gratefull for any further information.

Kind regards,

Dewi.

Dear Dewi,

It is not expected to be published until January/February 2007. I do not have a selling price as yet. It will posted on the shop once I have full details.

Dear Alan,

I was not seeking to find a link to any site! I was only trying to get more information on ordering the book following what Martin stated in his previous post! Confused

if you order before 30 September you can have your name printed in the book as a subscriber.

Thank you for your assistance as always.

Regards,

Dewi

I take it that this is not simply an annotated reprint of Lloyd's book published in the 19th Century?

Certainly not. There are 115 watercolours of the AZW which have never been seen before. There are some that are the basis of the sketches published in the 1890s under the title 'On Active Service' and also as b/w in the ILN and Graphic. David has spent many hours travelling the route of the second invasion to pinpoint the location of each sketch. These are truly a most remarkable and exciting find.
