One of the rellies was there, 2708 Patrick Sweeney, and survived.

I have that he was slightly wounded.

As Trumpeter in the 17th Lancers, he took part in the 'Charge of The Light Brigade' at Balaklava. (25th October, 1854)
He was orderly trumpeter to the Commanding Officer at Balaklava
He was severely wounded at Tchernaya, and at the siege of Sebastopol.
His commission was purchased for him by (Gen) Drury-Lowe
They were friends for the remainder of their lives
He attended 1st Balaklava Banquet 25/10/1875

We did have an old photo of him in his uniform, but someone appears to have unfortunately lost it.
