Hi Clive

Yes, there is a slight delay and it's rather a bore, I agree. Greenhill are going through a period of transition to become Frontline and my new book will be one of the first, if not the first, to come out under their new flag. So it has been caught up in a major business transformation and inevitably will be a bit later now than originally intended. I posted a bit of an update a couple of days ago (under the book's title) elsewhere in this 'Books' section of the forum.

It springs into existence at a printing press somewhere in the USA on the 29th of this month, but then has to cross the Atlantic before finding its way into UK bookshops for about February. But it'll be worth the wait, I promise! I hesitate to say that US readers will definitely get sight of it before Christmas, but I think they probably will.

As ever

Thank you very much for clearing up the reason for the delay I have no doubt that it will be worth the wait, but why these days we always have to wait for the publishers to get things right it is a good job they are not soldiers otherwise there would be a lot of them on permanent jankers
Thanks again

Sure, I sense your frustration, but the small specialist operations such as Greenhill do a really great job in bringing military history to the market. In the present instance they are just pausing for a bit of rebranding, so that they can march on into the future, and go on bringing stuff to market which you and I would read - stuff which would never get a look in with some of the more 'populist' publishing houses - you know - the ones that are interested only in mass market stuff of no real substance - another set of footballer's wives memoirs, yet another 'celebrity' cookery book, anything with that nice Alan whatisname's name on the front cover, or made up books about the SAS etc etc. Look on the bright side...it's only a few weeks delay and by then we will all stand some chance of having recouped enough money after Xmas to be able to afford a bit more book-buying!!

As ever

Clive,
you were obviously overcome with excitement on your first post attempt.
