Don't know if this message will get through as I'm still finding my way around the new format - and at present feel completely & utterly lost, let alone having any idea of how to find where any posts or threads are (been trying for half an hour but at times like these I feel an empathy with the Luddites!)

Anyway, if it is not too late to change the spelling of your titles, it's not "geneology" but "genealogy" - pronounced "jeannie-allergy."

Best of luck with the new format, which I'm sure I'll crack eventually!

OK, so I am into family history & I know of most of the family of my ancestor Robert Jones V.C Rorke's drift ( inc. uncles, aunts, cousins.etc, etc)
& to be quite honest I'm a tad fed up with wannabe R.D.V.C decendents contacting me pretending to be relatives of mine. Far better things to do with my time than trace your history. But I do know mine be warned my dears,,,be warned !!!

Dear Phil,
a while back I said I'd send you the tape of Roberts Jones VC's, VC on display at Brecon. I've had a problem receiving and sending e-mails from Wales on my hotmail account (my cousin in Pembrokeshire has not had anything to or from me for a while), so had no way of sending the tape to you, still there waiting for you. Would you mind trying to contact me on my hotmail account again ([email protected]) and I'll get it in the post to you if you provide me with a mailing address. Cheers.

Tony.

Once more apologies , it seems i have a heavy hand and must try a little harder not to be so keen in getting a message in the forum . Evidence has come to light that FRED HITCH VC had not 10 children but 11 !!! .

I am in the process of getting this childs particulars and will inform Alan Critchley as to when i have all the details . Can someone tell me of the site will adjust the fact that Pte William Jones VC was born in Bristol and not in EVESHAM as once was thought ? .

Proof please that the grave ( unmarked ) near to where Pte William Jones lies buried does contain the remains of Pte Joshua Lodge but have no personal evidence as the occupant is , thank you , Graham .

Think you are getting a little confused - I can assure you all records indicate William Jones VC was born in Evesham.

Hi Sapper

I owe you a pint mate and owe you an apology, already had my claim William Jones VC born in Evesham blown out of the water so I know what awaits me.

I've done some work at Philips Park Cemetery, Mancester and Joshua Lodge is buried I'm sure only a little way from William Jones, there is a stone on the location but which is buried some way under the surface.

Andy
