There are two others on Thermopylae if you're interested which I bought myself.

Paul Cartledge's "Thermopylae" which was recently wriiten
and Ernle Bradfords "Thermopylae" written a number of years ago.
Both focus on Thermopylae but Bradford's appeared to me to be more of telling the story of Thermopylae and the run-up to it. Cartledge is a professor of ancient history and takes a little more of an academic approach to the battle. Note that he is a Spartan expert so that counts much for his interpretations and orientation. Anyway, two good books for the library.

Thanks. I'm hoping to get the Osprey book, due to the many illustrations they tend to have, including uniforms, weapons, maps, etc.

I may add one or both of the titles you suggest at a later date.

Thanks again
