Interesting Victorian Forenames

The Victorian forenames names I have come across when dealing with the Zulu War have fascinated me. They were very unusual in many cases, exotic and unfortunately, obsolete or out of fashion. Many were taken from family connections or historical characters. In any event, colourful. Many of them are used by the officer class. More normal names such as John, Edward, Henry, Thomas, Arthur, William, George etc. were very common in other ranks.
