Comparisons have been made on many occasions between both of these men, including a book written about it.
I've been trying to think of an image that would capture them both in the same painting, then I thought of this.
Both men, dressed the way they are most recognised, either side of a table, playing a game of chess, in a tent or a study.
This is an image I've seen on many occasions, with leaders, as well as officers of the same, or opposing armies, as a set piece, capturing them using their strategic ability at chess, rather than on the battlefield.
This is not meant as a serious subject, just a description of how the two of them could appear in the same painting.
Personally, I like the idea of this unique meeting of two like-minded people in the one illustration.
As I say, meant it a light-hearted sort of way.
