Here is an interesting one a medal dealer has listed the following medals for sale the first is the South African medal clasp 1877-8-9 for 1854 Pte W Geen 1/24Foot killed at Isandhlwana 6520 the second South Africa Clasp 1879 for 724 Pte J Green 1/24 Foot but he survived the war cost for this 1325 so dying means a difference of 4925 WOW it seems it did not pay to live.well in the eyes of the medal dealer anyway.

A fellow collector is logging Isandhlwana medals and this does not appear on his list. Could you tell me who the dealer is please.

As an aside, and I'm hesitant to say this, medals to men of the 24th Foot who were not at Isandhlwana or Rorke's Drift, do command a premium over men from other regiments who saw considerably more action in the AZW.
