Im kinda still around having moved onto other subjects, but have visited here and elsewhere recently to see if current events - virus, protests, etc - are starting to affect the studying of the AZW, plus visiting battlefields, tours, memorials, etc.
If things go on as they are, Ill be checking in on occasion more... as the go-to place for me has mostly always ever been RDVC. Stay safe and stay well all Coll |

Hi Alan,
Van Hage's has already got more of my money than I ever intended, so it will come as a welcome relief! We're in Lower Road, Great Amwell. We're the first (and last) house in the village, next to the fishing lakes, sandwiched between the aqueduct and the canal. Moving to High Wycombe will be a culture shock!!! My knees will suffer from all the hills. Regs, C. |

Are you registered here with two contacts names? It's OK but just wondered why.

Not that I'm aware, but I did receive a password email yesterday when I changed my address?

I'm still around, although largely inactive at the moment.
Is anyone in contact with Colonel Mike Snook, please? I had an e-mail address, but I didn't get a reply to my last message (admittedly it was a while ago), so I'd like to renew contact (about a different subject) if I can. Thanks, and best wishes to you all. |

He has/had his own FB Page, plus one I think for Iron Duke Miniatures, and occasionally posted on the Victorian Military Society FB Page, Im no longer able to post on FB or see replies to their topics to check. You may find his email address on one of them |

Colin Fielding, sorry, I was thrown because Colin, hello again, is the Colin of old.
Coming so close to your post, I assumed it was you again. To the other Colin, are you OK? |

Greetings to one and all.
I took early retirement at the end of March; at the moment, I'm tying up loose ends of a project I was involved with for Exeter University on a 16th-century topic. When that is done and dusted I intend getting a volume together on Wales and the AZW which will, hopefully, do justice to an under-researched aspect of the history. As you all know, this has been a topic of interest to me for some years: my hope is that it will be so for the wider public also. The aim, as always, is to offer good scholarship in an accessible form, focussing on fact not myth. But clearly, I can't do it alone. My intention, therefore, is not only to pillage your ideas and knowledge ruthlessly, but also to turn to you collectively for advice and - all being well - contributions (essays, that is, not money). A couple of you have already expressed an interest. Does this suggestion appeal? |

Not totally sure what they will entail but any items on the site you are welcome to with credit
to the authors. Other sections may contain something e.g. http://www.rorkesdriftvc.com/potpourri/index.htm Are you still based in Aberystwyth? |

As well as Frere and Nevill Coghill, George Frederick John Hodson was another old boy of the school. There is, or was, a pair of stained glass windows to Coghill & Hodson in the chapel there.
