Date | Original Topic | 12th April 2001 | London Blue Plaque to Frank Bourne By Martin Everett You will notice from the events page on this site that a blue plaque was unveiled to CSgt Frank Bourne at No. 16 Kings Hall Road, Beckenham where he lived between 1909-1931. Does anyone know of similar honour to a regular soldier? Winston Churchill does not really count because he was more famous as wartime leader and politican. Perhaps a VC or two? | Date | Replies | 12th April 2001 | Peter Critchley It certainly would seem odd if there wasn't a blue plaque to at least a few VC winners, but of course, every one of them should have one.
