Date | Original Topic | 31st October 2001 | TIME ZONES - ISANDLWANA CHRONOLOGY By Mike McCabe Can anyone confirm at what stage the modern system of time zones related to Greenwich Meridian Time (GMT) was introduced into colonial Natal. I am (perhaps futilely) trying to work out aspects of concurrent activity in the Isandlwana and Rorke's Drift actions using those primary sources which give some indication of timing - according to the observer's watch/clock, limited contemporary written reporting, or physical phenomenon such as the development of shadows and the "partial eclipse". So, what was "Natal" or "Military Time" on 22 January 1879? | Date | Replies | 31st October 2001 | Stephen McDonald Mike, I can't help you with that question, however the Rorke's Drift Battle was put into sequence of events by Maj PR Naish.
I found it on the web & put it into a Word document. If you'd like a copy just let me know. |
