Does anyone know of any books that are just about the Battle of Ulundi? If you do, I would greatly appericate it if you listed thier titles, authors, and ISBN numbers. Thanks!

Hi Dan,

Check out the Books section.. I don't think there are any books that specifically cover Ulundi, but there's certainly a very comprehensive piece on this site.

All the best,

Peter

Dan,

I hate to contradict the Webmaster, but there is "The Battle of Ulundi", was written by John Laband, and published in 1988, it's an illustrated paperback, published in South Africa.

Dan,
It is covered in the Narrative of Field Operations published by the War Office in 1880; you may find a recent reprint from Greenhill Books. I think it is also covered in one of Ian Knight's book 'Great Zulu Battles' - I could not be quite sure of the title.

In answer to your answer, Martin, it's also covering in "They Fell Like Stones...", our is that blowing my own trumpet!

We have also covered the battle in "The Journal of the Anglo-Zulu War Research Society". I'll sort out the article and forward it to Dan's address, if he'd like?

:) Thanks for clearing that one up John - I'm normally caught out on these.. It should also be noted that the excellent piece covering Ulundi on this website was written by John Young, and should prove a very good starting place for you Dan.

All the best,

Peter
